Which one is better between freelancing and consultancy?

If there is a need for people to choose between freelancing and consultancy, it will be a difficult one. This is because the two are both okay. I understand that there will be one that will still be better than the other. If I were to choose between the two, I will surely go for the consultancy one. This is because it will surely help me to know more about niches and as well it pays more than freelancing.
