Some awesome students built our non profit project a website a few years ago and it's now time to launch it. The students are long gone but I have successfully poked around in there to get it 99% to where it needs to be. As a complete Wordpress noob, I've managed to update most of it but there is a pop up in lime green that says "Get 30% off your first purchase". I want to disable the pop up and can't figure out where it's generating from. Any ideas how I might do this please? It looks like Elementor is installed in there as the main software (?) plus Astra as a theme (or another software?) and WooCommerce and a bunch of other plug ins. I have tried to pare it right back to just a basic set of pages so we don't want a store on there (yet).

Popups like the one you described are almost always coming from a plugin, not the theme itself. Since you have Elementor installed, go to Elementor → Templates → Popups and look for that green "30% off" popup. Once you find it, you can disable or delete it. Sometimes WooCommerce plugins add marketing popups too, so if it's not in Elementor, check WooCommerce settings or any marketing/discount plugins. If all else fails, you can temporarily deactivate plugins in batches to find which one is triggering the popup.

In WordPress, you can turn off popups in a few key places. First, look for popup plugin settings - many popular popup plugins like PopupMaker or OptinMonster have options to disable popups site-wide or on specific pages/posts. You can also check your WordPress theme settings, as some themes include built-in popup management controls. Lastly, you can use a plugin like Popup Maker or Thrive Leads to gain granular control over popup display logic and targeting. Explore these different areas of your WordPress dashboard to find and adjust the popup settings to your preference.
