Ask When should you decrease your ROAS while using push adds to promote affiliate links?

So I got the following message, and need some opinions.

Get more conversion value by adjusting your ROAS targets

You may see the estimated conversion value uplift by lowering your ROAS targets. The decrease to ROAS targets will apply to strategy targets and any ad group overrides.

This is asking me to drop by 20% from 130% to 104%

Are these useless recommendations? I end up spending more then I bring in revenue. Thoughts? I will paste the table in a follow up message.

That recommendation seems risky unless you're looking to scale aggressively or test new audiences. Dropping your ROAS to 104% means you're cutting your profit margin to near zero, which can be dangerous if your offer isn't optimized for high volume. If you've already tested this approach and know you can recover the profit in the long term, it might make sense, but blindly following this could lead to overspending without returns.

Sometimes, it makes sense to lower your ROAS goal when the push traffic is getting more expensive but still bringing steady conversions. If you keep aiming for a very high ROAS during hard times, you may pause a campaign that could still earn long term. I usually reduce my ROAS target when I see strong engagement but slower sales. This gives the campaign room to learn and adjust. After that, I scale again when the numbers become stable.
