Freelancers need to protect their works. It is called intellectual property. Before you can give it all to your clients, you must have tried your best in getting the right thing that you deserve. It is akwags better to make sure that you allow your clients pay all the money before you make the priority become theirs. Doing this will make it easier for the freelancers' work to be protected and prevent clients from taking the freelancers' works without payment

The ownership transfer has to be done from freelance to the client because it is the client to requested for the project. If you want to claim ownership you have to create it for yourself and patent it. So far it is client that came to your DM to request for the project you don't have the right to the ownership.
