Honestly, email marketing has been one of the most surprisingly powerful tools in my digital business journey.


When I first started, I underestimated how effective it could be—I thought emails were outdated. But after building a simple list and running a few nurture sequences, everything changed.

I remember one specific campaign I ran: it was a 5-part email series promoting a new digital product. The open rates were around 30%, and by the end of the sequence, I had converted over 8% of my list. That one sequence brought in more revenue in a week than my social media efforts did in a whole month.


What made the difference?
  • Personalization: I spoke directly to the reader like they were a friend, not a lead.
  • Automation: Using tools like MailerLite and ConvertKit helped me build drip campaigns that worked while I slept.
  • Segmenting my list: Sending targeted messages based on behavior and interest doubled my click-through rates.
  • Consistency over selling: I delivered real value in at least 70% of my emails before pitching anything.

Now, every time I create a product or affiliate offer, email is my #1 channel. It may take time to build trust, but once that connection is there, it's gold.

I've found email marketing to be a bit of a balance between patience and consistency. At first, it can feel discouraging if people don't open or respond, but over time you start to notice what works and what doesn't. For me, writing in a friendly, human tone helped a lot. People don't want to feel like they're just another number on a list. When I treated emails more like conversations than sales pitches, the response rates slowly improved. It's definitely a long game.
 
I always have a nostalgic feeling remembering my struggles with email marketing years back. But I can gladly say I have improved through my consistency and dedication. I studied different email marketers from different forums and as well did some trial and errors until I got the concept right. Though I am still learning it, I have greatly improved compared to how I was before when I started it. I have learnt to be dedicated and committed to get good results.
 
I've been running email campaigns for a few years now. One thing I noticed is that list quality matters way more than the number of subscribers. Even a small list with engaged users will outperform a huge list of unresponsive emails. Segmenting audiences and personalizing subject lines has really improved my open rates. I also learned that testing different sending times can make a surprising difference.
