When deciding on a minimum commission percentage for affiliate marketing, it depends on a few key factors. First, consider the product's price and how much effort you'll put into promoting it. For example, a high-priced item like electronics might be worth promoting even with a lower commission, say 5%, because the earnings per sale could still be decent. On the other hand, for low-cost products, a higher percentage, like 20% or more, makes sense to justify your time and energy. Also, think about the product's demand and how easy it is to market. If it's something people already want, a slightly lower commission might still work. For me, I'd probably aim for at least 10-15% for most products to balance effort and reward. What do you think about commission percentages? Any factors you'd consider when setting a minimum?

For me, I won't go below 20% commission unless the product is very expensive. If I'm putting my time into promoting something, I want to feel like it's worth it. A lot of programs offer 5% or 10%, but after you do the work, it's not much left. I've learned that higher commission makes it easier to stay motivated. If I believe in the product and it's a good seller, I might go a bit lower—but only if the sales volume makes up for it.

It depends on the niche, the energy I am giving it and all sorts. If the promotion of the niche and product are zapping my energy, I am go for higher percentage. I don't really like working for what I won't handsomely paid for. Many a time, I do see some affiliate marketers that go for 5%. It maybe because the product is not really hard to promote for them at all.

The commission percentage matters less than how much money you actually make per sale. A 5% commission on a $1000 product makes more money than a 50% commission on a $20 product. It also depends on how easy the product is to sell and how often people buy it. Some low commission products convert really well, which can make up for the lower percentage. Look at the total earnings potential, not just the commission rate.

The minimum commission percentage I'd accept depends on a combination of the product's price and how much work is involved in promoting it. For lower-priced items, I'd look for at least 20–30% to make it worthwhile. With high-ticket items like software or luxury goods, even 5–10% can be lucrative. I also take into account the product's fit with my audience and its potential to convert. If the commission is too small and the effort too high, I'd move on to other products.

The minimum I can accept if I want to promote a digital product is 50% commission rate anything less than that I am not available. This is the reason why I like clip bank because they offer almost 75% commission rate on any of the digital products you are promoting as an affiliate. The reason I would like to go for higher commission is that I am going to use paid ads to promote the product

There is no fixed minimum commission percentage because it really depends on the product and how easy it is to sell. For example, a 5% commission on a high-ticket product can still be better than 50% on something nobody buys. I usually look at how well the product converts, not just the percentage.
