Honestly, I'd go with the free course every time. Certificates look nice on a resume, but they don't actually prove you learned something . What matters is whether you actually absorbed the material. Free courses force you to be self-motivated, which means you're learning because you want to, not because you paid. That intrinsic drive sticks better anyway. The only time I'd consider paying is if the course offers something you genuinely can't get elsewhere. I'd rather save my money and put that energy into building a portfolio instead.
