Nothing bad in working for your friends and relatives. But you need to make sure that you are strict doing this. They don't need to be giving too much preferential treatments. Make sure they are also under the same laws that bind the others. When you do this, it may work. If I am going to work for a friend or a family member as a freelance, I am not going to process it through the freelance platform. We are going to settle everything in private and I will make sure that there is a concrete contract in place that we guide both parties involved in the project.
