I started freelancing 4 months ago and I feel both excited and confused at the same time. In the beginning I got zero orders for weeks and I almost quit. Now I have 3 repeat clients and I am finally making around 200 dollars a month. I am learning how to write better proposals and manage time. You will face rejection but you will also learn fast.

The question I want to ask you guys is that What progress can beginner freelance experience in first 6 months?

Congratulations on your progress in the past 4 months! It's great to hear about your perseverance and growth as a freelancer. As a beginner freelancer, the first 6 months are often a time of learning, adjustment, and building the foundation for a successful freelance career. Here are some common progress points that many beginner freelancers experience in their first 6 months:

1. **Building Client Relationships**: Just like you mentioned, establishing repeat clients is a significant achievement. Building strong relationships with clients can lead to more work, referrals, and a steady income stream.

2. **Improving Skills**: Over time, you will likely see improvement in your skills, whether it's in your core service offering or in related areas like proposal writing, time management, communication, or customer service.

3. **Expanding Portfolio**: As you complete more projects, you'll be able to showcase your work and build a diverse portfolio. A robust portfolio helps attract new clients and demonstrates your capabilities and expertise.

4. **Increasing Earnings**: While the income may start modestly, as you gain experience, positive reviews, and referrals, you can gradually increase your rates and secure higher-paying projects.

5. **Learning from Feedback**: Receiving feedback from clients, whether positive or constructive, is invaluable. Use feedback to identify areas for improvement and to refine your approach to better meet client needs.

6. **Growing Network**: Networking with other freelancers, industry professionals, and potential clients can open up opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and new projects.

7. **Establishing Processes**: Developing efficient workflows, setting boundaries, and establishing clear terms and agreements can help streamline your freelance business operations.

8. **Exploring Niche and Specialization**: In the first 6 months, you may start to identify specific niches or areas of expertise where you excel and enjoy working. This can help you focus your marketing efforts and attract clients looking for specialized services.

Remember, progress looks different for everyone, and it's essential to celebrate the small wins along the way. Stay focused on your goals, continue learning and adapting, and keep pushing forward. With time and dedication, you'll continue to see growth and success in your freelance career.
