I'm currently looking for the best free popup plugins available for websites. By "popup," I mean a box or message that automatically appears when the site loads—something that can be used to share announcements, promote new menu items, or display other important information to visitors without requiring them to click anything first. I specifically do not want a popup that only appears after pressing a button; it should show up on its own as soon as the page loads. I tried using the "Popup for Divi" plugin, hoping it would do exactly that, but unfortunately, it didn't work as expected. It seemed to only trigger popups on button clicks. Are there any reliable free plugins that support automatic popups on page load?

If you want something really simple, WP Popup is a good choice. It allows you to trigger popups as soon as the page loads and you can add text, images, or even links inside. The settings are easy to understand, and you don't need extra coding. I also like that it has a close button so visitors can exit easily. For free plugins, it's probably one of the best for just announcements or promotions.

Those free popup plugins sound promising for sharing info with your visitors. Automatic popups as soon as the page loads could be a handy tool. But you'll want to be selective, don't want those kinds of popups to end up being too disruptive. The Divi one didn't work out, that's a bummer. Maybe check out something like OptinMonster or PopupAlly - I've heard they've got solid options for page-load triggered popups. Just want to make sure they're not too irritating for your users.

One of the simplest options is Popups for Divi, which is free and super easy to use. With it, you can turn any Divi section into a popup and link to it, making the whole process really straightforward. If you want something a bit fancier, Divi Overlays is made just for Divi and gives you options like timed popups, scroll triggers, or exit-intent popups. Another solid choice is Divi Supreme, which in its pro version includes a full popup builder.
