The forum wants your replies to actually have some substance, so there's a rule that your comment needs to be at least 100 characters long. That's just enough to stop people from spamming or leaving lazy one-word replies. It's not like they're counting every single word, but if you stick to at least a few sentences, you're good. Anything shorter, and it won't earn points or even show up properly in some cases. So yeah, just type a bit more than the bare minimum
