In order to maximize cost, brand can start with just only one dedicated person, especially if it is just a small brand. Then additional person should be added as the brand is growing. In a way of avoiding redundant workers, there should be the need to give each worker clear-cut roles.

With this, there may not be a specific number of social media expert to hire. It all depends on the size of the brands.

Honestly, 2–3 people can get the job done. One person makes and posts the content, another keeps up with comments and checks the numbers, and a third can handle strategy, collabs, and ads. With that small setup, you can still stay consistent, tweak what's working, and keep your audience engaged. Even tiny teams can grow fast if they stay organized, use good tools, and keep trying new ideas.

From my experience, two to three people is the minimum for a solid social media strategy. One can handle content creation and posting, another can focus on engagement and community building, and someone else can track analytics. If you try to do everything alone, it's easy to burn out or miss opportunities, so small but focused teams work best.

Even a team of 1-2 people can execute a basic social media growth strategy if they're skilled and organized. One person can focus on creating content and managing posts, while the other handles engagement and performance tracking. For bigger goals or campaigns, 3-5 people are ideal, with roles like content creation, strategy, analytics, and audience engagement. The key is teamwork and clear role-sharing, even in small teams.

The minimum number of people to execute social media growth depends on the size of your business. If your business is small, one or two people are okay to handle content creation, scheduling, and engagement. If the business is big then you might consider three to five people so that they can be dedicated to handling the role of Content creator, Social media manager, Graphic designer, Analyst (for tracking and optimization) and Community manager (for engagement and support).
