Traffic refers to the visitors who click on your Facebook ad and visit your website or page. You drive traffic when people see your ad and take action by clicking. Traffic helps you increase exposure and reach. Conversion happens when these visitors take the desired action on your website like making a purchase or signing up for a newsletter. You focus on conversion when you want people to complete a specific goal. Traffic gets you attention. Conversion gets you results. Both are important but serve different purposes in your ad strategy.
 
For those that don't know more about traffic, they may be thinking that traffic and conversion are the same. In fact, they may focus more on generating traffic without thinking more about the conversion of this traffic. However it is always better to know the best ways to convert traffic.
 
I think the difference is pretty simple. Traffic means getting people to click on your ad and visit your website or landing page. Conversion is when those people actually take an action you want, like buying something, signing up, or downloading a file. You can have a lot of traffic but low conversions if your page or offer isn't convincing enough.
 
Traffic and conversion are kinda different vibes. Traffic ads are just about getting people to click and check out your site or page like inviting folks to swing by your place. Conversion ads are about getting them to actually do something, like buy stuff, sign up, or download your app. Traffic equates to more eyes, conversion equates to more action. So if you just want people to notice you, go for traffic
