Recently I come across local SEO and national SEO and I want to ask you guys that what is the difference between the two?

National SEO is for reaching people all over the country, like online stores or services that don't care where customers are. It's more about big-picture keywords, links from other sites, and building your site's authority. Basically, local SEO gets nearby folks in the door, while national SEO tries to grab attention nationwide.
