I feel like telling a client about a price increase can be very uncomfortable, especially when the relationship has been smooth for a long time. At the same time, costs go up and skills improve, so staying at the same rate may not make sense anymore. I wonder how others handle this without sounding greedy or risking the client walking away. Do you explain your reasons in detail, or keep it short and simple? How do you make the client still feel valued?
