Ask What is the best subscriber or mailing list pop-up plugin?

Currently, we use Popup Builder which surprisingly has been effective but we wish to upgrade to something better that supports images as background and more high-end mailing list popup design. We get a large amount of page views every month. Probably 50,000+.

I've been researching Poptin and OptinMonster, but can't really understand which is better. Or if theres any alternatives. I find it a little odd that we have to pay for a mere newsletter popup and mailing list subscriber list.

Got a few questions to ask.

For Poptin or OptinMonster, do they also handle sending the newsletter and newsletter design, so that we don't have to use Mailchimp?
2. ⁠Is there a better (cheaper, or free, or easier/more featured) plugin to use for this?

I've tried a few, and I'd say OptinMonster and Privy are both strong choices. They're easy to set up and connect well with most email tools like Mailchimp or Klaviyo. What I like is how you can control when the pop-up shows, so it's not too annoying for visitors. The templates also look professional. If you want something free to start, try MailPoet; it's simple but effective for small stores.

For WordPress users, Popup Builder is another excellent option for mailing list pop-ups. It's simple to use, with plenty of customization options to create attractive pop-ups for email sign-ups. It also supports integrations with major email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Aweber, and others. The free version has basic features, but upgrading to premium unlocks more advanced targeting and animation options.

OptinMonster is probably the easiest win. It's super flexible, lets you drag and drop stuff around, and can pop up at just the right moment. It's fancy but not annoying. If you want something lighter and cheaper, MailOptin is solid too. It does pop-ups, slide-ins, sidebars, and even handles newsletters, with free and paid options. These two are great because they're easy to use, look good, and actually get people to sign up
