I have started keyword research for some of the content I want to publish on my blogs. While I was researching on the proper way to do it, I keep hearing about "keyword difficulty" in SEO, but I'm not entirely sure what it means or how it affects my keyword choices.

I want to ask you guys that how important is keyword difficulty when deciding which keywords to target, especially if I'm just starting out? What are the matrics I need to check when I am analyzing the keyword difficulties of keywords? 'Id love to hear any insights or advice. Thank you advance

It's all about how hard it is to rank for a keyword compared to other websites. Some keywords are easy because not many sites compete for them, while others are really competitive with strong websites already ranking. I usually check keyword difficulty before I start targeting a phrase because it helps me know if I should focus on easier ones first or try the tough ones later.
