In a way to avoid being scammed by some clients, there is a need to make sure that you introduce some kill fee to protect yourself. Among the kill fee to include making it clear that you are entitled to your full payment or at least the payment for the tasks you have done in case there is disagreement between you and the clients. This will make it easier for the clients not to breach contract anyhow while dealing with freelancers.
