I have a friend who introduced me to cold outreach to attract clients to my business. He told me that I need volume in order to make consistent since with my pitching. My friend and I are in the same niche and with pitch almost the same audience. Recently we were both sending message to the same client.

The question I want to ask you guys is that What happens when freelance friends pitch to same client? I will be looking forward to your response in the comment section thanks in advance.

When freelance friends pitch to the same client, the situation can become a delicate one that requires careful handling to maintain both the professional relationship between the friends and the client.

1. **Competition**: The most obvious outcome is that the friends become competitors for the same client's project. This may lead to a sense of rivalry between them as they each try to outdo the other in securing the job.

2. **Client's Perspective**: From the client's perspective, they may appreciate having multiple options to choose from, as they can evaluate both pitches and select the one that best fits their needs. However, it can also create confusion for the client if the pitches are too similar or create a sense of competition between the friends.

3. **Negotiation**: If both freelancers are shortlisted by the client, it may lead to a negotiation phase where the client is comparing the offers from both friends. This could potentially drive up the value of the project if both freelancers are trying to offer more competitive rates or additional services to win the job.

4. **Communication**: Clear and transparent communication between the friends becomes crucial in this scenario. They should discuss how they want to handle the situation, whether they are comfortable proceeding with the pitch process and potentially competing for the same client, or if they want to step back to avoid any strain on their friendship.

5. **Client's Decision**: Ultimately, it will be up to the client to decide which freelancer they want to work with. This decision may be based on various factors such as the quality of the pitch, the proposed deliverables, the cost, and the existing relationship with the client.

In conclusion, when freelance friends pitch to the same client, it can lead to a competitive yet potentially challenging situation. Clear communication, professionalism, and respect for each other's business are essential to navigate this scenario successfully while preserving the friendship.
