It's where brands can show personality, post cool content, and actually chat with their followers. Think influencer collabs, behind-the-scenes videos, memes, and comments. There is no doubt that the emergence of new digital marketing, like Tiktok, YouTube, Twitter and even Instagram among others have really changed the ways digital marketing works. These days, marketers can now interact, even on videos, with their audience, making the connection to be really strong and the trust to be solid. This can make them to get the best of the digital marketing
 
The new sides of digital marketing strategies now include making use of different features on social media to get the attention of the audience. It is now possible for the digital marketers to make use of reels, stories and other features that are embedded on some social media platforms like Tiktok, Instagram and more.
 
The influencer side of new media marketing is where things get interesting. Brands are now paying regular people with loyal followers to promote products, and it works because it feels more natural than a traditional ad. People trust a face they follow more than they trust a company running a paid promotion on a website.
 
New media marketing is really just the part of digital marketing that feels more human. Instead of sending emails or running Google ads, brands are making videos, posting memes, and chatting with followers. It is less about pushing a product and more about building a real connection with people who actually care about the brand.
 
Not every brand needs new media marketing at the same level though. A local business selling to older customers may get better results from email campaigns or Google search ads than from TikTok videos. New media is powerful, but it only works well when the audience actually spends time on those platforms.
 
New media marketing works because people now expect brands to have a voice, not just a logo. If a company only runs paid ads and sends promotional emails, it feels cold. But when they post relatable content and actually respond to their audience, it builds something that looks more like trust than just awareness.
 
What makes new media stand apart is that audiences are not just watching, they are participating. A comment, a share, a duet on TikTok, these are things traditional ads never had. Brands can now get real feedback from real people almost immediately, and that changes how marketing actually works in a big way.
 
For me, I am starting by checking where people drop off inside the funnel. Sometimes many visitors click the ad but leave on the landing page, while other times they add products to cart and never finish payment. Finding the weak stage first makes optimization much easier.
