Ask What does a freelancer do when a project is finished but the client goes silent?

Finishing a project and then hearing nothing back from the client is one of those situations that can leave a freelancer feeling unsure about what to do next. You might be waiting for feedback, final payment, or even just a simple confirmation that the work was received. Reaching out again feels necessary, but you also do not want to come across as pushy or desperate. It is a situation many freelancers run into, especially in the early days. How do you handle it when a client suddenly stops responding after the work is done?

Silence from a client is very frustrating after doing all that work. You should check your email for any messages they missed. If you used a platform for the job, contact their support team right away. They often handle payment issues when a client just stops replying to your messages.
