A freelancing agreement is simply a written document that explains what work you will do, how much you will be paid, and when the job is expected to be finished. Even for small projects, having something in writing protects both the freelancer and the client from misunderstandings. At the very least, it should include the scope of work, which means exactly what is and is not covered, the payment amount and due date, and what happens if either side needs to cancel. Have you ever had a project go wrong because there was no agreement in place?
