There are moments when a client suggests an idea that clearly has issues, and it puts the freelancer in a difficult spot. You want to respect their opinion, but you also do not want to deliver poor results. It can be hard to speak up without sounding like you are arguing. I think this situation needs both honesty and care in how you explain things. How do you guide a client away from a bad direction without creating tension?

At the end of the day, the client has the final say. A freelancer can advise, explain, and push back once or twice, but forcing someone to change direction never works. What matters is that you made your concern known clearly and gave them a real chance to think it through before moving forward.
