What creates more growth: better skills or better distribution?

This is a serious debate in freelancing. There are some freelancers that believe that getting more skills make much sense. They believe that it is always better for the freelancers to have skills but that is not enough. You need to understand that you need to have clients all over as well. Those that are ready to stay with you. This will make it easier for you to grow according to some people. What do you think?

In my own perspective I think both of them are very important for the growth of your business. First if you don't have any skill there is nothing you are going to offer to the people in the freelance marketplace. Also if you have skin and no one is patronizing you there is no way you are going to make money at the end of the day.
