Some of the most common mistakes I have noticed are taking too long to reply, giving vague updates, and not asking enough questions before starting a project. When a freelancer disappears for days without any update, the client starts to worry and may look for someone else. Sending a message that does not actually answer what the client asked is another problem that frustrates people quickly.
