There is no way we won't have illiterate as our customers. In case we have many of them as our intending customers, how do you think content creators should handle this? This is where creativity comes in. Content marketers should focus more on video contents for audience like this.

Not only using video contents, the messages in the videos should be very clear and precise to be understood by everybody regardless of educational level.

Using voice notes on WhatsApp is a good way to reach people who cannot read. Many of them use smartphones just to send voice messages every day. If you make short audio ads in local languages, they will understand your message and buy what you sell.

Phone calls can be part of this digital plan. You can set up a system where people drop their numbers. Then a customer care person calls them to explain everything in their own language. This human voice builds trust and helps them buy things easily.

Short videos on TikTok and Facebook work very well for this group. You do not need to write any text at all. Just show how the product works with pictures and music. People watch these videos a lot and they easily understand what to do next.

Local radio stations are still very powerful for this kind of marketing. Digital marketing alone might not work because many people do not use the internet. Combining online ads with radio jingles in local dialects will make more people hear about your business very quickly.

Paying local influencers who speak the native language is another good method. These influencers already have many followers who trust them. When they talk about a product in a video, their followers will understand. It works better than writing long posts that nobody will read.

Is it really profitable to spend money on digital ads for this audience? Many people who cannot read do not have bank accounts or smartphones. It might be better to use traditional marketing methods like street dancers and flyers with pictures to reach them instead.

I would say It can be done well if you focus less on text and more on visuals and voice. Short videos, pictures, and simple icons can explain things better than long writing. When people can see how something works, they understand faster without needing to read much.
