Advertisers will not just pay affiliate commission just like that. There are some factors he determines how much he would pay. One of the factor is the calculation of what is called Customer Lifetime Value.

This is calculated by considering some factors which include knowing his much it takes to bring in a customer, how much does a customer pay and how many customers are retained in a year.

All these factors put together will determine how much to pay for the effort of the affiliate partners.
