A mistake many people make is writing only for search engines instead of real readers, which leads to pages that feel forced. Another mistake is stuffing too many keywords into one page, which makes the writing hard to read. Some ignore page speed, even though slow pages push visitors away. Others create content without checking if people actually search for it. Many also forget to update old posts, which slowly lose value. Links from weak or unrelated sites can also cause problems. Out of these mistakes, which one do you think harms a site the most?

One of the mistakes to avoid is to create contents without checking and researching more on the topic first. You need to know if the topics are recent search and still relevant. If not, don't create contents. Also, make sure you are not stuffing your keywords on the audience.

Some people think repeating the same phrase twenty times will trick Google into ranking them higher. All it does is make the content sound robotic and annoying. Real people don't write like that. If you can't read your article out loud without cringing, you probably stuffed too many keywords in there.

Google figured this out years ago but beginners still do it because they heard keywords matter. They do matter, just not when you're beating people over the head with them. Write naturally and use variations instead of the exact same phrase over and over.

Ignoring mobile users is still killing some websites. Your site might look fine on your laptop but half the internet is browsing on phones now. If your text is tiny, buttons are hard to tap, or the page layout breaks on small screens, people bounce immediately.

Buying backlinks from sketchy sources tanks your site eventually. Yes it might give you a quick boost at first, but Google catches on and when they do, your rankings disappear overnight. Most of those links come from garbage sites that exist just to sell links.

Duplicate content across multiple pages confuses search engines about which one to rank. If you say the same thing on five different pages, Google has to pick one and the others get buried. I see this on sites where someone creates separate pages for every tiny variation of a product or service.

Slow loading speed kills everything no matter how good your content is. People leave if a page takes more than a few seconds to load. Google sees those bounces and assumes your site isn't worth showing to others. But fixing speed requires compressing images, cleaning up code, and sometimes changing hosting.

Another thing we are forgetting is that search engines prefer fresh information. If you wrote something three years ago and never touched it again, competitors with newer posts will pass you. Go back and update your best performing pages with current info, better examples, or additional sections.

I really believe what the poster above me said, you need to be updating your posts. The more you are updating, the more relevant your messages will be. Unfortunately, not all new SEO users always do this. They do relent when their articles are on the first page.
