Ask What are low cost marketing schemes available for small businesses?

For someone running a small business, it is very certain that there won't be much money to run advertisement. With this, it is certain that the business owners would only be left with some cheap marketing schemes. In my own opinion, I would advise such a business owner to be running on email marketing, SEO, mobile application marketing which include WhatsApp, Facebook and others.

Which low cost marketing schemes will you suggest for a small business owner?

Social media is probably the cheapest way to get started. You can set up accounts for free and start posting about what you do. The main cost is time, not money. Post regularly, respond when people comment, and share things that actually help your audience instead of just selling.

Exactly, although it takes a while to build up followers, but once you do, you have a direct line to potential customers. Some platforms also let you run ads for just a few dollars a day if you want to speed things up. The trick is being consistent and not giving up after a week when you don't see results right away.

Email marketing still works really well and costs almost nothing. You can use free tools up to a certain number of subscribers, then it's usually cheap after that. Once you have a list, you can send updates, promotions, or tips without spending much at all. Just don't spam people or they'll unsubscribe fast. Keep it relevant and useful.

Local partnerships can bring in business without spending much. Find other small businesses that serve the same customers but aren't competitors, then cross-promote each other. Maybe a coffee shop and a bookstore. You could share each other's flyers, mention each other on social media, or even run a joint event. It helps both businesses reach new people without paying for ads. Plus it builds community connection

Content marketing is free if you do it yourself. Start a blog, make videos, or post helpful tips related to your business. The goal is to answer questions people are already searching for online. If someone searches for how to fix a leaky faucet and finds your plumbing blog, they might remember you when they need a plumber.

Google My Business is completely free and really important for local businesses. Set up your profile with accurate info, photos, and your hours. When people search for businesses like yours nearby, you can show up in those results without paying anything. Ask happy customers to leave reviews too, since that helps you rank higher.
