I've been really intrigued by how much impact native ad thumbnails have on click-through rates. It feels like the thumbnail is the first impression and can make people stop scrolling. I've tested different images and styles across several campaigns to see what grabs attention best.

I usually try to pick visuals that are clear and relevant while standing out in a crowded feed. So far, I've noticed that small tweaks in color or composition can change the CTR quite a bit.

I just try to make them pop without looking like an ad. Bright colors, simple visuals, and a clear main focus usually do the trick. Faces work wonders too as people just click more when they see emotions. I also make sure the thumbnail fits in with the stuff around it so it doesn't feel out of place. Testing is huge because sometimes tiny tweaks in color, text, or layout can totally change results.
