Affiliate links are special links used by marketers to track when a visitor buys something, often leading to a small commission for the person sharing it. Sometimes these links are found in places or contexts that make little sense. Imagine reading an article about healthy living and suddenly finding a link that takes you to pet food or car parts. It can feel confusing and out of place. Other times, the product being linked has nothing to do with the page's topic, which makes it look random. Has anyone here come across an affiliate link that made no sense at all, or even made you laugh? Were you curious enough to click it just to see where it led? And in your opinion, do misplaced links damage trust in the site?

One time, I clicked an affiliate link for something called a "moss bath mat." It was a mat made of real moss that they claimed could live and grow in your bathroom! I couldn't stop imagining what would happen if it started growing too much or if bugs got into it. I didn't buy it, but honestly, I was curious about how many people would actually want one. The internet has so many odd things to sell these days.
