The spotlight hits me every time someone brings up native advertising at a meeting. I feel like the lead actor in a play where the script keeps changing. My mind races through all the wild stories I've heard about what native ads can and can't do.

One of the biggest myths about native ads is that they're some sneaky way to trick people into buying stuff. Truth is, they're just ads that try to fit in with the site or app you're on like a sponsored article that actually gives useful info instead of yelling BUY NOW! Most of the time, they're labeled so you know it's an ad. Done right, native ads can actually be helpful or interesting instead of annoying.
