I'm putting together an online course, and I want students to go at their own pace. I've heard this is called asynchronous learning. The problem is, I don't want it to feel cold or lonely. I want them to feel like someone is still there with them, cheering them on. But I don't know how to do that if we're not online at the same time. Should I use comments, emails, or maybe something else? I've never done this before, so I'm open to any ideas or examples that worked for you.
