I'm feeling a little unsure about what to do next. I started my online store a few months ago and I have tried a few marketing approaches. I have run small ad campaigns and posted on social media.

I notice that some products sell well while others barely move. I have tested different pricing and descriptions to see what works best.

I keep thinking about growth and how to scale effectively. Should you focus on product range or marketing when scaling?

Marketing should probably be your priority if you already have products that sell. Adding more products won't help much if not enough people are seeing your store in the first place. I'd recommend picking your best sellers and running targeted campaigns specifically for those items.

When you're scaling, marketing usually deserves more focus than expanding your product range. If some products are already selling, that's a signal that demand exists, and growth often comes from getting those winners in front of more of the right people, not adding more items. Adding products too early can spread your time, budget, and messaging thin. A smarter approach is to double down on what's already working, improve your marketing and customer experience around those products, and only expand your range once you're confident you can consistently drive traffic and conversions.

Both product range and marketing are crucial aspects when it comes to scaling your online store successfully. It's great that you have identified which products are selling well and have experimented with pricing and descriptions to optimize performance. In terms of whether to focus on product range or marketing for scaling, a balanced approach might be most effective.

Your product has to be solid as people won't stick around for junk but killer marketing is what actually gets eyes on it. Early on, pick a couple of standout products and figure out what marketing clicks. Once that's working, you can slowly add more stuff without losing your edge. Basically, product and marketing are like peanut butter and jelly

When it comes to scaling your online store, focusing on both product range and marketing is essential for long-term success. While having a strong product range is important to attract and retain customers, effective marketing strategies are equally crucial to drive traffic and increase sales. Finding the right balance between expanding your product offerings and implementing targeted marketing campaigns can help you achieve sustainable growth.

At the start, your product matters more. You need something that actually works and solves a real problem, otherwise marketing won't do much. Once that's solid, marketing is what really helps you grow. That's how more people hear about you and start buying. So yeah, think of it in stages: get the product right first, then push marketing harder. If you try to go all-in on both too early, you'll probably just spread yourself too thin and not do either one well.

The success of an online store depends significantly on its product offerings and marketing strategies. It's commendable that you've pinpointed your best-selling items and experimented with pricing and descriptions to enhance performance. When deciding between expanding your product range and intensifying your marketing efforts for growth, a balanced strategy could yield the best results.

Focusing on marketing could be a good strategy to start with, given that you already have some products that are selling well. With effective marketing strategies, you can reach a larger audience and drive more traffic to your online store, increasing sales for both your best-selling products and those that are not performing as well.

It is also fundamental that if there is no demand scaling dies so marketing first then range follow.
You can have the best product range, but if no one knows, it stays in inventory. So the best to use that revenue and feedback to expand range intelligently. Get 1 product story to scale, then build the aisle.

When scaling your online store, it's important to strike a balance between product range and marketing. While having a strong product range is crucial to attract customers, effective marketing strategies are essential to drive traffic and increase sales. By focusing on both aspects simultaneously, you can optimize your chances of achieving sustainable growth for your online business.
