Ask Should Upwork improve the way proposals are ranked?

The order in which proposals appear to a client can make a big difference in whether a freelancer gets noticed or gets buried under many other applicants. Right now it feels like being active or paying more Connects can push a proposal higher, even if the freelancer is not the best fit for the job. A fairer ranking system based on skill and experience could help everyone. Do you think Upwork should improve the way proposals get ranked for clients?

I think the platform is designed to take money from freelance more than the client self would the way they are operating and some of their features. The reason is that you are going to spend money to reach out to the client and you might not end up having any gig on work coming to you.
