Tag pages can help organize content, but many of them end up having very similar information. When too many of these pages are indexed, it can look like repeated content to search engines. Using noindex on weak or empty tag pages helps keep the site focused on stronger pages. Only tag pages with useful content should be indexed. This keeps the site clean and improves how search engines understand it. Do you think tag pages bring real value or just create extra pages?

They usually don't bring much real value to Google because they're often just thin lists of similar posts or products with affiliate links slapped on them. If you let them all get indexed, they can end up cluttering your site in search results and kind of dragging down overall quality signals. That said, if a tag page is actually useful and has real search intent, then sure, let it be indexable. Otherwise, noindex is the cleaner move. You still keep the pages for users and internal linking, but you're not asking search engines to treat them like important content.

I think most affiliate tag pages should be noindexed because they usually don't add much value. These pages often look thin, repetitive, or just group links together without real helpful content. Search engines may not see them as useful pages for ranking.
