Hey everyone,

I've been working on my e-commerce store for a while and I'm still figuring out the best approach for growth. I started with a mix of products across different categories to see what people would like. Some items sell well, while others barely move.

Now, I'm wondering if I should focus on one small niche and build a stronger presence there before adding more products. I've read about brands that grew fast by dominating one area first. Should I target a small niche before expanding my e-commerce business?

Starting with a small niche is usually the way to go for an e-commerce biz. When you focus on a specific group of people, you really get what they want and can make them feel like you get them. Marketing is way easier too, since you know exactly who you're talking to. Once you've got a loyal crowd and know what's working, branching out to other products or bigger markets is a lot smoother. It's kind of like planting a strong little tree first

You don't need to start big because of competition. You only need to be expanding based on demand. Ensure you are studying your competitors to know what you are lacking. And make sure that you are building connection with your customers first by prioritising quality over quantity.

Starting with a small niche in your e-commerce business can indeed be a strategic move. By targeting a specific group of customers with particular needs and interests, you can establish a strong presence and build a loyal customer base. This focused approach can help you understand your customers better, tailor your marketing efforts effectively, and refine your product offerings based on the feedback you receive.
