It should explain what is ending soon, why it might be helpful, and give them time to think. Too many reminders can annoy people, especially when it feels like the same message repeated again and again. A short reminder with a helpful example usually works better. I'd say one or two well-timed reminders usually work best. For example, sending the first reminder a few days before the offer ends and a final one on the last day creates urgency without feeling pushy. The key is to keep them short, friendly, and focused on the benefit rather than just the deadline this way, people are reminded without feeling pressured.
 
I think, reminders work best when they are spaced properly instead of being sent too many times in one day. A message near the beginning of the offer, another closer to the ending date, and maybe one final reminder can be enough without making people feel disturbed or pressured all the time.
