Others keep comments because they help create discussion and make the blog look active. Comments can also help SEO because new text is added to the page over time. I think comments are useful if they are controlled and spam is removed often. What is the better choice for a growing blog when managing content and reader discussion online?

If you don't mind moderating a bit, comments can add a nice touch. If you just want your blog clean and simple, turning them off is fine too.
