Subtle recommendations for related products can work too, but the key is keeping the tone genuinely helpful rather than salesy it builds trust and encourages repeat business.
 
Many people do not like getting too many messages in their inbox. If you must send a note after a purchase, make it short and useful. Do not try to sell another product immediately. Just check if they need help with what they already bought from your shop.
 
It is good to share instructions on how to maintain the product in that message. Many people do not read manuals, so a short summary in their inbox can be very helpful. It reduces the complaints you get and makes the item last longer for the buyer.
