Ask Should government regulate business marketing?

There may be some urgent needs while government may need to regulate business marketing. The first is the fact that most marketing and advertising are falsely done in order to entice the intending customers. These in many cases have made the customers to buy goods and products that they would otherwise not buy.

Should government really regulate the marketing strategies in order to protect the customers? Share your opinions.

Honestly, I have been trying to say this. The way marketing is done should be regulated. It is now about packaging lies to the customers. They say good things about the products only for the customers not to get the same quality beikg advertised. I support government regulation on it.

Some rules are important so companies don't lie, scam people, or promote harmful stuff, especially to kids. Without any rules, some businesses would definitely stretch the truth just to make more money. But at the same time, too many rules can be annoying and make it harder for small businesses to advertise or be creative. Marketing is kind of a way of expressing ideas too, so it shouldn't be overly controlled.
