I have been having a short number of client for the past two weeks and this is affecting the income of my business. If it continues like this and I'll be finding it difficult to pay salary to my virtual assistant who are working with me on the team. I've been thinking of every ways to get client for my business.

The question I have in mind to ask you guys on this is that Should freelancers target local businesses or global remote clients? Let me know your opinion in the comment section thanks in advance

I'm sorry to hear that you are facing difficulties in attracting clients for your business. When it comes to deciding whether to target local businesses or global remote clients as a freelancer, there are a few factors to consider.

Targeting Local Businesses:
1. Proximity: Working with local businesses may offer the advantage of proximity. This can lead to easier communication, building stronger relationships, and having face-to-face meetings if needed.
2. Networking: Being involved in local business communities can help you establish connections and generate referrals for your services.
3. Cultural Understanding: Working with local businesses gives you insight into the local market, culture, and industry trends.

Targeting Global Remote Clients:
1. Wider Pool of Clients: Targeting global remote clients opens up a wider pool of potential clients, allowing you to tap into different industries and markets.
2. Diverse Opportunities: Working with global clients can expose you to diverse projects and challenges, expanding your skill set and experience.
3. Flexibility: Remote work allows you to work with clients from different time zones, offering flexibility in your schedule.

In your situation, if you're facing a shortage of local clients, expanding your reach to global remote clients could potentially help you attract more business and overcome your current revenue challenges. Consider utilizing online platforms, networking events, and social media to connect with potential clients worldwide.

Ultimately, the decision to target local businesses or global remote clients will depend on your specific business goals, target market, and the nature of your services. It might be beneficial to mix both strategies to diversify your client base and ensure a steady income flow for your business and your virtual assistant's salary. Good luck with expanding your client base!
