Not every difficult client deserves to be dropped immediately, since some disagreements come from simple misunderstandings that can still be resolved with patience. But there are situations where continuing the relationship only brings more stress and very little reward. Deciding when to walk away seems to depend on how much respect is still left in the relationship. At what point do you think a freelancer should stop trying and simply let a difficult client go?

The moment you realize that if you continue with the client it will bring more stress for you it is very important for you to call it off and move on to the next client. There is no point in keeping someone or a job or a task that can cost you your mental health.
