Ask Should forum rewards focus more on discussion or more on individual quality posts?

There are different ways by which this can be looked at. There are some that believe that rewarding discussion can ensure and enhance more engagement, while it may risk spamming. While some believe that individual quality posts may make the forum vibrant but risk exclusion.

In order to strike a balance then, posts should be both based on discussion and as well as quality posts. What do you think in this regard? Share it in the comment section.

Forum rewards should focus on both good discussions and solid individual posts, but honestly, keeping conversations going is more important. Forums only stay alive when people actually talk and share ideas. If rewards only go to super polished posts, everyone might get too focused on writing perfect stuff instead of just chatting. But giving rewards for random comments isn't great either. The best move is to reward people who start or add to meaningful talks, while still giving a shoutout to really well-written posts.
