It is not really important for the freelancers to depend on the Upwork and Fiverr. Infact there are many freelancers that do not even depend on them at all. However, it is only saver for freelancers to depend on Fiverr and Upwork for their clients at least for some times before making use of other platforms. This will give them access to know how clients are gotten and how they relate with clients. What do you think about this?
