It is possible to be successful in freelancing with just a skill?

Freelancing is very competitive. I will not advise any freelancers to be into freelancing except they are ready for it. They need to make sure that they are learning different skills until they have enough that can make them successful in freelancing. I don't know whether there are some freelancers that only rely on just a skill. But I am sure that it will be very rare in freelancing to be successful with just a skill.
