Is there any difference between virtual assistance and freelancing?

Freelancing is more or less virtual assistance. The two requires working for a client. However, there are a lot of differences between the two of them. For instance, virtual assistance requires you to help the clients get their works done even when they are busy. Freelancing is helping the clients get things dobe, not necessarily when they are busy. It may be because they don't know much about the tasks. What other differences do you know?

I think both of them are interchangeable because a virtual assistant can also be a freelancer in the vice versa. One thing about it is that a freelancer can stand alone while a virtual assistant can get attached to a person or a company and work regularly to receive a monthly payment in form of salary.
