Many freelancers pay extra just to push their proposals higher on the client's list. Some say this brings faster replies, while others feel it only drains their earnings without much result. This has become a common topic among people trying to win new jobs on Upwork, since money spent on boosts could go into other useful things instead. Do you think proposal boosts give freelancers a fair chance, or are they just another way Upwork makes more money?

I think it's worth it for be established freelancers who have enough cash at their disposal to throw around because it will give them more opportunity to win more project in gigs in the freelance marketplace. This might not be fair enough for beginner freelance who doesn't have much on them to compete in the freelance marketplace

I think it is a good idea to pay for a proposal to boost your outreach on upwork. It is an investment to spend to promote your services to the target audience be it on the freelance platform or any other place like social media platforms. You are doing this to attract client who will give you more money.
