Ask Is it necessary to undergoing training to become professional?

I am learning design on my own and I am building projects for practice. I am watching tutorials and I am taking free courses to fill gaps. I am also studying top portfolios and I am copying techniques to understand process. I am wondering if formal training actually matters to clients or if results speak louder. I am saving money for a course but I am not sure it will bring more gigs.

I want to ask you guys that Is it necessary to undergoing training to become professional? Thanks in advance.
