Is it common for companies to hire freelance writers with no prior experience?

Though it may not be common but it doesn't mean it's not possible. There are some companies that do employ these set of people especially at entry level. However, the payment for this post may not be that encouraging. That's why it is better to have the right qualifications before going for entry level at any company. This may increase the pay and even give the best value for them. What do you think about this?

It is not possible for established company to higher freelance with no prior experience. They always don't want to engage in trial and error with their money. This is the reason why they go after the experience freelancers who is capable of providing them what they want in the freelance marketplace.
